The three officers were now in a bright room with white light surrounding them. Captain Devore looked around to try and see where they were but he couldn't figure it out. Devore grew angry and yelled out. "Damn you show yourself I grow tired of this game you are putting us through."

The intruder appeared in front of Captain Devore with a look of frustration on his face. "It appears Lieutenant Harris didn't prove my point any, but your thoughts will."

Devore spoke in a form voice, "You claim you want to protect us from a future mistake that will cost us millions of lives. Yet you are willing to kill three hundred of us in the mean time. That doesn't make any sense."

"But it does Captain, remember Captain Spock threw himself into gamma radiation to save the *Enterprise* and her crew. He also said the needs of the few out weigh the needs of the many."

Harris grew angry with the reasoning of the intruder and spoke out in a hateful tone, "Listen to your words. Captain Spock knew if the top secret project touched life it would destroy it so he gave himself to protect his crew."

Devore then continued. "You said the wormhole caused a war but it also prevented the Dominion from coming through. It also created and formed fine officers. Look at Harris he risked his life to save others that were wounded. He could have run but he didn't. He then showed great humanity 5 years later. He refused to send men into a no win situation and risked his career."

"It seems to me the worst turned out to be a great deal of help, " Hansen said looking at Lieutenant Harris. The intruder walked around, pacing and thinking hard on what was said. "You are right in thinking so if it had not been for the Dominion I wouldn't be here. I believe you have passed this time I shall return one more time."

Hansen and Harris awoke to the site of sick bay. They looked around and saw the doctor with a look of joy, but Captain Devore wasn't awake. Instead his eyes moved from side to side underneath his eyelids. Noticing this, Dr. Clairidge ran to his side for both professional and personal reasons and began to run some bioscans.

"What happened?" she asked pulling his eyelids up. After a few minutes she sighed and straightened up. "He is just asleep in deep REM sleep. The eye movements are what gives it its name, Rapid Eye Movement."

Hansen and Harris both let at a sigh of relief also and looked at each other.

"Gentlemen. What happened?" She said again. Harris began telling her what happened.
