Another Intruder ?

The room was quiet and dark as the unknown shadow entered the Captain's Ready room. It went to the computer and turned it on illuminating the immediate vicinity. "Computer ! Open a secured com line to the officer 0001."

<Command not processed. Enter access codes.>

"Authorization code, Officer 0012 Omega 113."

<Authorization accepted. Processing.>

The monitor screen went blank, no Starfleet insignia, nothing. Then on the other end, Admiral Beard appeared. [Good. You are on board.]

"Aye sir. I am ready to receive my orders."

[Good. Now listen. Your mission is to make sure the Leviathan never comes back.]

"Sir ?"

[Actually the crew can, but in particular, I want Devore................] The shadow turned off the monitor quickly as it heard people coming on to the Bridge.

"I am going to check the ready room." One of the voices said. "Computer Lights. 50% illumination" The lights came on and there was no one there. The unnoticed plush carpeting still had the foot print impression, but it slowly bounced back to its original upright position.
