USS Leviathan : Transporter Room Two

It was the middle of the night and someone walked into the transporter room, which was empty and darkened. Walking over to the panel on the wall behind the transporter console, they quickly took it off the wall. Quickly and expertly, they started to remove several of the isolinear chips from the computer boards. They then replaced these with new chips that they had brought with them. Turning around, they started to enter commands into the transporter console.

<Accessing bio-filter subroutines> The computer announced.

Pressing a few buttons on the console, the computer voice was silent. As they progressed, the computer continued to give detailed reports on the console.

<New DNA pattern has been accepted and introduced into the transporter banks.> Appeared on the console, everything was going well.

After five minutes, the operator ran a level one diagnostic on the transporter bio-filters, simulating a transport of a test subject. The test worked perfectly and the desired results were attained. The DNA of the subject had been totally re-encoded , what would result from this was anyones guess. There had been very few incidents of using a transporter to alter a subjects DNA whilst in the transporter beam. All of these had been using the subjects own DNA as the template for the re-encoding.

This was something totally different, the new subroutine was designed to look for specific DNA marker. When these markers were detected by the bio-filters, the subroutine would be activated and attempt to perform the DNA re-encoding. The final task was to transfer the new subroutine into the other transporter room, which was a simple task. Once that was done, it was easy to remove all traces of anyone accessing the transporter system, no one would ever know.

They replaced the panel onto the wall and walked out of the transporter room.
