Captain's Log Stardate 0337.2

With the discovery and irradication of the would-be assassin, The Leviathan has returned to normal operations. The crew has done an outstanding job repairing the damage caused and Lieutenant Shaka has returned to duty full time. I have been really worried about the toxin used. Are their any remnant matter in her system or is she truly cleared with a clean bill of health ? The EMH says that the latter is true, but she has had some fainting spells that has made me wonder.

Commander Harris has proven time and time again that my choice for first officer has been correct. He is an outstanding officer and a good friend to both me and to Ensign Ambrose. He just needs to remember that his initiative sometimes overtakes my bounds and makes me wonder.... *Is he after my job ?*. I hope so. After all a good first officer wants his own ship

Lieutenant Commander Toran has been everywhere and anywhere. The sign of a good chief of security is that he is omnipotent and omnipresent, Toran is just that. I wonder if he is a founder ! He seems to be everywhere

Lieutenant Rashad T'kul, a fine young woman. She has proven herself to me and her loyalty is no longer an issue, but there is still something that bugs me that I can't place. One day I will find out what it is.

Lieutenant Chu Barker is a brilliant science officer. His intuitive mind and ingenuity has proven to be a great asset to me and the Leviathan. I wonder how his medical skills are ?

Lieutenant Sierra Mitchell-Devore, my lovely wife. I am so happy that she is aboard now. Over ten years apart things are like we never were apart. I still haven't had a chance to talk to her about her time in Starfleet Intelligence. Maybe T'kul may be able to give me some information as to what she has been up to. After all she had worked with her for a few years in SI, maybe I can I learn more about the disappearance.

Ensign Kirk Ambrose. He is one hell of pilot. I wonder how he would do at tactical. I have some officers that may resent the fact that a lowly ensign was able to transfer to tactical, but his construction of the Hellcat is excellent. I can't wait to see that ship in action.

Marine Captain Jon Phanan.... interesting man. I would like to see more of him and watch him work. Back when I have always had a fascination for the marines, but I was more of command material. I couldn't have seen myself trudging through mud and muck to get my butt shot off by a Cardassian or Romulan disrupter, but that man and his troops do it everyday. What a man! I still would like to know why their were marines on board the *Utopia*.

Ensign Mason one of our newest additions. I don't ever remember seeing him when we left starbase 14, but his record says that he is team player. I hope so. The success of the Leviathan strictly depends on the fact that we work as a team we will see just how much of a team player he really is.

The Leviathan is now heading through the Beta Quadrant. Out here where there is no Starfleet, no Klingons, no Romulans, no nobody, it tends to get boring. I have instructed Commander Harris to conduct department readiness drills. So far each department has been above every curve. Toran's security teams has also shown battle readiness at 110%. I don't know how, but he has done it. Phanan hasn't really had a chance to recruit any new marines, but hopefully before we really need him, we will get some.

Well the Beta Quadrant awaits, and we are here to explore. So where there may adventure, so be the USS Leviathan.
