Commander Harris and Lieutenant Rashad walked to the Holodeck in silence, neither of them even so much as glancing at one another. Once at the entrance to the Holodeck, Harris started to program the holodeck. "Computer begin program 'Harris Workout with the Bat'Leth'." <Working....... Task complete. Enter when ready.> Harris walked in first and saw that the Holodeck was correct. It looked like a martial arts dojo, which was what Harris liked and was most comfortable with. Immediately he noticed the two Bat'Leths sitting on a table and went over to pick it up. Harris grabbed the other one and threw it at Rashad which she caught. Smiling devilishly, Grant twirled the mightly Klingon sword a few times to loosen up his arms "Lieutenant. This is your last chance to end this. Just tell me what your job is on board this ship and all you know about of Lieutenant Anderson." "Not on your life Commander ! Besides I can't ! I have swore an oath." Harris shook his head and swung the Bat'leth. Catching her off guard, Rashad barely blocked his blow, but managed to push him back with amazing strength. They now were blocked off and circling one another as they both twirled the Bat'leth around and around. Harris did a fake lunge at Rashad's head and she fell for it providing him with an opportunity to slam the Bat'leth into her side that caused her to jump back. She then went for a shot to Harris causing Harris to fall and jump back. His stumbling back forced him to trip and fall on to his back, and taking the advantage, Rashad brought the Bat'leth to Harris's throat. "Now commander do you give up. You must understand my position." Harris gave a smug smirk and said, "You don't understand. The game doesn't end when you want it to stop." Harris then kicked Rashad in the leg and moved his head out of the Bat'leth's path. Harris then pulled Rashad over him and threw her across the room, causing her to land on her back knocking the wind out of her. Commander Harris jumped up and walked over to Rashad. Taking a few minutes she breathed deeply trying to retake her breath and finally rising to her knees. As Harris neared, she delivered a punch to his gut and followed it with another to his side. Rashad then while he was doubled over, she kicked Harris twice in the face which forced him to his knees. Slightly groggy and phased, Harris saw another fist coming
at him but this time caught it and twisted arm almost to the breaking
point. Then turning her around, he kicked her in the stomach that forced
her to fall face first in to the mat. Grant felt pain in his jaw and warm blood trinkled down his cheek. He looked down and saw the defeated officer and sensibility hit him, he had just defeated a fellow comrade in arms for reason not her own. "Listen Lieutenant. I know that you're a good officer and all, but why do have such a misplaced loyalty for Beard? He sure hasn't shown no loyalty to you. It's not you I hate Lieutenant, it's your boss and your branch of service." Harris rolled on to his back and waited for Rashad to answer, but she didn't. She got up and headed for the door holding her ribs. "Remember something Commander Harris," She said wincing in pain. "You were once one of us as well." She left the holodeck. |
