Harris took the isolinear chip that Rashad had given him, left the officers' quarters and headed to the turbolift. "Bridge." He ordered as he stepped into the turbolift. *This must be brought out into the open,* Harris thought. The First Officer knew in his mind that Section 31 was hiding something, but its officers normally wouldn't carry out personal grudges. The turbolift stopped and Harris walked out of it onto the Bridge. "Lieutenant Shaka what is the repair status?" Harris asked. "Sir the SS drive won't be online for another hour," Shaka replied seeming somewhat annoyed that the Commander was bothering her. Grant didn't say anything in reply to Shaka's statement. In fact he was disappointed. He looked around the bridge and realised that all the officers were waiting to see what the XO had to say. *Time to take charge,* Harris thought as he contemplated the situation. "Computer, effective stardate 2460408, I take command of the USS Leviathan according to Starfleet regulations. Duty officer shall make a note in the ships log." Harris turned to Ensign Ambrose, "Ensign Ambrose, launch a class VIII probe to track the Lynx." "Aye Aye Sir," Ambrose replied as his hands danced across his console. Harris tapped his comm badge. "Mister Hansen, get the standard warp core on line and ready in 30 minutes." [Yes sir] As he walked to the ready room, Harris turned to Toran, "The bridge is yours. Don't disturb me unless necessary." Lt. Cdr. Toran shook his head as he sat down in the command chair. The Human Commander walked behind Captain's desk, sat down and placed the chip into the computer terminal. "Computer play data stored." <Leary's personal log: I have been told of the Omega Fleet. It is not really a fleet to speak of, just one prototype ship - the same as the *USS Hornet* and the Klingon Task Force 23. But that was 23 years ago, and those vessels almost started a war. So, I will make sure that ship never sees the light of the Federation. I have requested that officer 120 be reinstated. He is a great operative: 198 kills in 7 years. I plan to assign him to kill Commander Devore.> <Further data extraction impossible - remaining data is encrypted.> Harris sat back in his chair, as he now now knew why he was brought on board. "Commander Toran, see if you can find information about the *USS Hornet* that existed some twenty three years ago." He said, after hitting his comm badge. [Aye Captain,] Toran replied. "Computer send a message to Officer 001, Starfleet Command: 'I'm onto your game.' End message." | |||
