The Bond Begins

Lieutenant JG Tyra walked down the corridor toward Teryek's quarters. Ever since she had found him, she had an urge to go to him for sustenance She knew it was part of the ancient bond between their races, but she felt it was something more. Maybe. Or maybe she was excited about finding her "mate" at last. Tyra stopped at his door and took a deep breath. This would only be the second time they had performed the exchange. It was still new to her, but it had satisfied her more than the replicated liquid did. She shrugged what remaining doubts she had and pressed the doorchime.

"Enter." Came Teryek's voice and the door slid open. Tyra stepped inside and the door closed behind her. He was standing by the replicator with a drink in one hand and a Padd in the other. He looked up and saw her. He smiled and went over to her.

"I take it you want to exchange again ?"

Tyra nodded and took another deep breath. It was an intimate ritual and it made her feel like a child. She knew it shouldn't. It was a way for her to survive, but it made her giddy all the same. It was such an arousing experience that she would like to repeat again.

"All right." Teryek broke through her thoughts. "This way."

He led her over to the couch and he sat down. She sat beside him and stared into his eyes. She smiled warmly at him as she drew closer. He lied back against the cushions and tilted his head to one side. He watched her as she closed her eyes and nuzzled his neck. His own eyes closed and he gave in to what she was doing. It wouldn't take long, only a couple of minutes, but to him it felt like an eternity. An eternity that he enjoyed.

Several minutes later, Tyra left Teryek's quarters feeling both sated and refreshed. She smiled as she walked back to Engineering. Inside, Teryek was asleep and probably would be late to his duty.
