The Growing Relationship |

Sierra stood outside her office wondering what could become of the Leviathan in this galaxy. She wondered what Brayden could be thinking. Could he be thinking that he may never see his mother and father again, or could he be thinking he would be okay because his real family is here? Sierra chastised herself in thinking that Brayden would forget the loving couple that raised her son. *Of course he wonders !* She said to herself. "Sierra," Brayden said breaking her from her daydreaming. "On your way to lunch ?" "Well, actually, I was debating what I would do. How about lunch in my quarters for Pastrami Sandwiches?" She asked him. "I would never turn down lunch outside of the mess hall," he said with a smile. Before long Sierra and Brayden were in her quarters, having sandwiches, and talking of the events that have happened in the last few days. "Brayden," She asked out the blue, "Do you miss your mom and dad?" Brayden sat for a moment and thought. "Yes, I do. I miss them, but you know what is making it tolerable, is having you and Marc here. I have realized that my relationship with both of you has grown to more than a friendship, but I still feel loyalty to the parents who have raised me. "I understand. You understand that we are not trying to push you into accepting us as your only parents. We would like to share you equally. We feel bad that you cannot spend time with your other parents." Sierra stated. "Sierra, mom," he said with a smirk, "I understand and don't feel bad. I made the decision to come aboard and to stay. I have learned more on the Leviathan that I could have ever learned sitting behind a desk. "I'm glad." she remarked. "Brayden, can I ask you something? It may be a little more that you want to disclose to me, so if you don't want to tell me then that is okay." She asked. "Shoot, ask me anything you want." he said. "If it is something I don't want to answer truthfully, I will tell you what you want to hear!" Laughingly she said, "I have noticed your eyes on a certain someone. Is it me or have you fallen for someone?" Bright red he answered, "Yes, you are noticing correctly. Please don't say anything to anyone, especially the captain. He may hesitate giving me an assignment with her if he knew." "I think you may underestimate the captain, but I will not say anything to anyone." "Thank you. How about a round of darts?" he said changing the subject. "Hmm, I guess you are in the mood to lose, huh??" she said is laughter. "You only wish!" He said. |
