Ensign Garrett Morriden
March 28, 2384
USS Leviathan-A : Ensign Morriden's Quarters

*That probe was sent here to spy on what the Borg identify as Species 8472. There is a special type of wormhole we found and could not classify yet that opens a gateway into fluidic space, the realm of the most dangerous alien race ever known. The probe was placed there to act as a barrier to keep the hole closed so no one could open the portal. With the current technology they can do great harm. If that portal opens we are all doomed !!!*

With that thought Garrett left the turbolift. *I know what I must do.*

Garrett enters his quarters with a set mind and a plan. Scared and worried for what he must do. With an overwhelmed mind he begins pacing in his room.

"Computer, Open personal log."

[Log open.]

"Today, I have discovered that the crew is headed to one of the probes that control the sensor array that opens the feared wormhole into fluidic space. If they open the passageway, they open the alien threat. At the same time, I fear the Captain may try and gain information forcefully from Rashad."

"First of all, I will inform Rashad of what we are headed into. Secondly, with or without her help I will setup a countermeasure just incase they continue to goto the probe. God help me, I'm going to give this ship to the Borg if they do. I will build a Borg interplexing beacon from the notes that I stole from Seven-of-Nine. If I cannot divert or properly brief Rashad on this and she goes into the probe headfirst I'll have no choice but to give us to the Borg. Better off that way."

"I pray it doesn't come to that, I have my suicide tablet in my molar, the rest of the crew don't. May god forgive me for what I must do. It is honourable to sacrifice the crew to save millions but this way.. this way. I would destroy the ship if I could, even I do not have that access. For I am damned if I do and damned if I don't."

"Cause and effect, life in my hands.. What am I to do. The lives of hundreds over the lives of billions. The way is clear and yet unclear. What am I to do. What can I not do. Fear overwhelms me.. courage drives me forward, bravery clouds my mind yet I continue to thrive and plot what others do not do.. Perhaps there is another way, extremely more dangerous but it's a last resort."

"Computer. Where is the nearest supply of pure anti matter ?"

The computer replies. [The nearest anti matter is located in sector 33.1]

"Great, perhaps I can use the anti-matter and...Yes create an antimatter force field perhaps since the 'Q' are pure energy, trap the gloating being in its place"

"It may be a pipe dream but it's worth a try."

Garrett now worrying himself and after his fourth pace around his quarters, he decides to stop and breathe.

"I need to calm down or I'll never have the energy I need for my exercises. Computer, disregard my last message. End log."

Garrett began to calm down and sat on the floor beginning to meditate to calm himself down. After an hour of meditation and relaxation Garrett contemplates what he must do.

*First of all I must setup a meeting with Rashad, she has a lower access level, but desperate times call for desperate measures.*

Garrett stood up and moved to his console, where he began to setup a masked message to the Commander's console.

*Hmm, I'd better add my security code and sub-access code to leave an authentic message.*

[Comm channel open.] The computer announced.

"This is Intel Captain Garrett Morriden, security code 99 Omega Prime Theta 5555-09879-6868658. We need to discuss informing you on our current situation and must arrange a meeting. It's of dire importance. Be prepared to receive confidential information not normally for you to know, but desperate times call for desperate measures. I'll be in your quarters tomorrow with or without your allowed entry. Computer end message."

With the message complete Garrett locates his fourteenth century Paladin blade and places the sheath on his belt then prepares for combat training in the holodeck.

*There are no per feet people but only perfect intentions.* He thought.

"I just pray my intentions are prefect and just, honourable and right. If not, I know I died saving the best part of this universe I know….Earth"

With those words, Garrett left his quarters and headed for the holodecks.
