*There are no perfect people, only perfect intentions.* Garrett thought to himself. "I just pray my intentions are perfect and just, honourable and right. If not I know died saving the best part of this universe I know... Earth." He said. With those words Garrett left his quarters Garrett walks down to the turbolift watching the stares of people as they pass by. They were not looking at him, but the sword he carried at his side, A few people were brave enough to stop Garrett and ask him about his sword, but he always replied. "I am a sword fighter and well, I'm going to go to the holodeck and practice." After that response the people would look perplexed, then move on. Finally Garrett reached the holodeck after other mounting inquires by the crewmen in the turbolift. *Has anyone ever seen someone with a sword before, you think I was gonna kill actual people with all the stares.* <Computer activate programme, Garrett OEM One> [Program activated.] Responded the computer "Open" As Garrett enters the holodeck and stood on a foothill, the archway closed then disappears behind him. A beautiful mountainside that reaches into the clouds manifests itself. You can hear the whistle of wind, it's an almost totally silent and a serene environment. The only break into the silence is the sound of an eagle that flies over head looking for prey. "A truly magnificent land and truly wondrous place to fight. My homeland... Earth, the Appalachian Mountains." Garrett took a deep breath then stared off into the vast hillside. Looking down, he saw a Klingon encampment at the basin of a valley. Looking North he could see a pathway that led downward to the encampment, where he programmed to only attack when he stepped on the first stone that led down. Time to meditate before battle, then I'll begin. Garrett unsheathed his sword then knelt down. Then placing his blade into the earth, he begins to close his eyes and tries to achieve inner peace. "The calm before the storm is the hardest to achieve. Mental peace is harder to achieve than a controlled battle furry." With that thought in mind he grows quiet and, after a few failed attempts, finally achieves inner peace. Garrett stood after he finished the meditation, then looks down upon his holographic foes with no coherent stare. The wind picked up as dust and leaves blow by his face. "Another battle another day, my foes are stronger than before.. I could die for no safeties exist. It does not matter for in the end we all must die. It's how we live that shows our true nature, just how we choose to die. Even the choice to choose shows how noble and honourable we truly are. Now it's time once again to surpass my own set goals. My foes are strong and many, I am one." Garrett smiled as he sees the Klingon gathering their Batleths then begins to approach the steps. "So let the battle begin." Garrett approached the stone steps, sword in hand. He moved into a defensive position. His blade now in front of him, the tip reflecting the light of the false sun. Garrett's eyes glare as he looks down upon his enemies. "Fight and prepare to die" Just as Garrett began to charge into the fight with his sword blazing, reflecting light just as Garrett jumps down the stone steps, the entire simulation, everything, disappears and the archway opens. . .with someone at the arch. |
