Morriden's Nanites

With that thought Garrett plotted and planned for hours. Just before he went to sleep he came to a decision.

"Heaven help me for what I am about to do."

With that decision Garrett set in his mind to the replication, he then thinks...

*Its time to get down to the point.. Its time to destroy the ship's warp core and set the ship back a few weeks perhaps a month. I don't like to do this, but it must be done. The longer it takes them to reach the probe the better. I won't harm the Slipstream drive if that can be repaired we'll be safe and they won't bother with the probe. Lest logic says so.*

With that thought Garrett stood up from his relaxed position, then turned to the replication, beginning to give it access codes and instructions. Moments later tiny 12 .22 x .22 cubes appeared in the replication shelf.

"These cubes will unleash millions upon millions of Nanites into the ships computer system and engineering. I have programed them to do one thing destroy and cause havoc amongst the computer systems and destroy the warp drives. If they are discovered they will still take weeks to clean them from the ship and undo the damage, for they will replicate and continue to do their program until totally destroyed or I tell them to stop. The catch is to implant them..hmm. It wont be very hard, no one will notice small little black cubes placed here and there. Nor will they see me drop them."

Garrett smiled as he picked up the cubes in his hands then sat back down in his chair. Making sure he didn't lose any of his cubes.. Garrett lay all but one cube on his desk, bringing the last cube closer to his eye, examining its structure.

*Its incredible how one cube so small will cause a ship this size to fall to its knees in hours of its activation. I hate for this to happen but I'm afraid that this situation leaves me no choice.. IT MUST BE DONE !!*

"Computer activate the nanite cubes."

[Nanites activated...Warning once dropped 10 million Nanites will spew from cubes...]

"Computer I comply and proceed."

*How ironic the computer is activating its own destroyer... sad really but that is life.. is it not ?*

With the activation of the Nanites, Garrett collected each cube, holding them all tight in his hands. Garrett placed his elbow on his desk and placed his clenched hand on his head.

" I fear doing this may destroy us all but in the end it just may aid us. I fear for the future yet I do not fear doing the actions that I must do. Life is strange in this way, but in the end what we all do is for the good of others...This is for the good of Earth. Let it be known I do this for past lives... and for the lives to come... to see tomorrow rise and fall.. for tomorrow will never come, I Do this so the lives of billions my live to see another day"

With those words Garrett clenched the cubes in his hands and walked towards the door, leaving with sword, phaser, and Nanites in hand.
