Stalked

Lieutenant Commander M'eko J'ross was still manning the Helm station on the Main Bridge, as well as commanding the Saucer section of the Leviathan-B. So far everything had gone well, apart from the problem with the Jem'Hadar transports warp drive, which had slowed them down.

"Commander….." The Ops officer announced. "….Our engineering team is reporting that they need to take the Jem'Hadar vessel's warp-drive off-line for about ten minutes."

"Contact the other transport and prepare to drop out of warp." M'eko ordered. "Tell them to form up ahead of us and maintain heading at maximum impulse. I also want regular reports on the repairs, we need to get back to warp as soon as they have finished."

She quickly brought the Saucer section out of warp and they were quickly joined by the two Jem'Hadar transports, forming a small convoy, with the Saucer section bringing up the rear.

"Got to yellow alert." J'ross ordered. "Keep a look out for any enemy vessels."

J'ross was well aware that they were vulnerable travelling at impulse, but they needed to get the warp drive on the transport working as efficiently was they could.

"Commander." The Ops officer announced five minutes later. "Our engineering team has just reported that they are ready to bring the warp drive back online. They estimate that they should be able to get up to warp four."

"How long ?" M'eko asked.

"Two minutes." The Ops officer replied.

"Vessel de-cloaked aft." The Tactical officer suddenly announced. "They'll be in weapons range in thirty seconds."

"Commander, I'm also picking up the Engineering section." The Ops officer announced. "They're firing at the vessel."

"Tell the transports to prepare to jump to warp four on my mark." J'ross ordered. "Ensign, let me know as soon as the Engineering team gets that warp drive online."

The Saucer section was suddenly rocked by the blasts from the Jem'Hadar vessels polaron beams."

"Damage report." J'ross ordered.

"Minimal damage." The Ops officer reported. "Shields are at ninety percent and holding."

"Should we return fire ?" The Tactical officer asked.

"No maintain heading and prepare to jump to warp." J'ross stated.

"It looks like the Jem'Hadar vessel has been hit by the Engineering section." The Ops officer reported. "They're altering course to engage the Engineering section."

The Ops officer's console suddenly beeped. "Commander, the Engineering team has just reported that the warp drive is back online."

"Tell them to keep an eye on the drive." M'eko stated. "Inform both vessels to jump to warp four now."

Lieutenant Commander J'ross watched the viewscreen as the two transports jumped to warp and she quickly ran her hands over the console in front of her and followed.
