Where's Wright

Crew Quarters : Lieutenant James Wright

Logan and a Security detail arrived at Lieutenant Wright's quarters, the last known location for the Intelligence officer before he dropped off the sensors. They quickly overrode the door locks and stepped inside. The room was in complete darkness.

*I don't like this….* Logan thought to himself.

"Be careful." He stated softly to the rest of the Security team. "Computer lights, thirty percent."

The lights came up, filling the room with a dim light. Logan quickly scanned the room both visually and with his tricorder. Nothing unusual showed up, the room was empty.

"Stand down." He ordered. "Computer lights, eighty percent, gradual increase."

Slowly the light level came up, allowing the Security teams eyes time to adjust to the bright light. They all looked around and the devastation of the room, someone had been in a fight in this room. All the furniture was strewn across the floor, bedclothes had been ripped off the bed and lay in a pile on the floor. All the drawers and wardrobes in the room had been opened and searched.

"I want this entire room scanned, millimetre by millimetre." Logan ordered. "If there's any trace of Wright, I want to find it."

Logan walked out of the room and stood in the corridor. He tapped his comm badge and contacted the Captain.

"McQueen to Captain Taybar." He announced.

<Taybar here.> The voice of the Captain came back. <Any sign of Lieutenant Wright ?>

"No." Logan replied abruptly. "There are signs of a struggle in his room, so I doubt he left voluntarily. His room has been totally trashed as if someone was searching for something. Has Lieutenant Borealiou had any luck with the internal sensors ?"

<Yes and no.> Aki replied. <We've got a new last known location, the main shuttlebay, but it looks like he left the ship in a shuttle right after the Hellcat launched.>

"What !" Logan remarked. "But how could he have launched a shuttle without us knowing ?"

<We don't know.> Aki admitted. <But one of the Jem'Hadar shuttles is missing and we know that it was there before the Hellcat left, because it was moved to prepare for the Hellcat's launch.>

"Captain, I know it sounds futile, but I'd still like to conduct a deck by deck search of the ship, including the areas of the ship which are not covered by the internal sensors." Logan suggested. "I'd need to have some extra bodies to help, we don't have enough Security officers onboard, most of them are on the Saucer section guarding the Jem'Hadar."

<I've got another task for you.> Aki said. <I'd like to see you in my ready room in five minutes. You can organise a search and use any available personnel you might need, but I need you to concentrate on this new task.>

"Understood. McQueen out." Logan said, as the link closed.

He stepped back into the room and called over one of the junior Lieutenants.

"Lieutenant, I need you to organise a deck by deck search of the ship, starting from the top and the bottom of the ship. I have from the Captain to use any non-essential staff I need, the most likely are those in Engineering. I want every inch of this ship searched thoroughly, including any areas where someone could hide." Logan ordered. "I'll be with the Captain if you need me."

"I'll get right on it." The young Lieutenant said the sound of over-enthusiasm at being given control of such a large task in his voice.

Logan turned once more and headed for the nearest turbolift and the Captain's Ready room.
