Rescuing Jessica (Part One of Two)

Stefen watch as the Hellcat came out of the slipstream and back into normal space. They had dropped out of the slipstream well outside the range of the Omega base's sensors, to avoid detection. Lieutenant Dare quickly re-engaged the cloaking device and took the Hellcat back into warp.

Stefen watched the sensors, as they grew ever closer towards the base. It was an old mining base that was used during the Dominion war. Stefen left the Command deck and walked to the back of the Hellcat. He put on his armour and picked up the Lancer and a phase rifle. He walked back to the Command deck and threw three more Lancers to everyone present. Even though the Hellcat was going to be cloaked he could not be too care.

"I give these for you just incase Omega get on this ship."

Stefen walked to the transporter pad followed by T'Kul.

"Are you sure you don't want me to come ?" She asked.

Stefen smiles to her and said. "Yes, I am."

Stefen disappear in blue light after he put his Lancer in the holster on his belt and activated the phaser rifle.

*God let her still be alive.* He thought.

Stefen reappear in a dark area of the base. It was obviously one of the large cargo airlocks, designed to allow the various mining vehicles to move in and out of the base. Stefen scanned the bay with his phaser rifle up looking around. Suddenly a figure came out the shadows and looked at him. The figure wore a Starfleet Intelligence uniform, something Stefen had not expected.

"Hello and welcome to the Omega Headquarter, Lieutenant Moss." The figure stated.

Stefen looked at him. "Hello, let's do this and get out of here."

They both pulled out their Lancers and walked towards the door. The officer led the way to a cell and opened the door. Inside the cell was Admiral West, Stefen's father-in-law, who was obviously unconscious on the bed. Stefen walked over and picked up the Admiral, before carrying him over to the next cell.

Luckily there were more Section 31 agents inside the Omega base, this had obviously been carefully planned. The other agents were busy getting the other captured people out. When they came to the cellblock where Jessica was being held, K'Lang appeared.

"I was wondering when you would appear Stefen and it seem that Section 31 has gotten inside my group." K'Lang said.

"Give me my wife and I will not kill you." Stefen replied.

"You kill me." K'Lang laughed.

All of the Omega agents smirk at the idea. Stefen walked over to his contact.

"How much can this armour take before the person dies ?" Stefen asked.

"A lot." His contact replied.

All the Section 31 agents and the prisoner that were now free move out of the way. Stefen grabbed two phase rifle.

"K'Lang I coming out." Stefen yelled.

*Let my plan work.* He thought.

K'Lang had managed to retreat down one of the corridors and Stefen went after him. Stefen turned the corner and ordered K'Lang to drop his weapon. When K'Lang saw the weapons Stefen was holding and hear him issue the order to drop his weapons, he did just did that. But he had no intention of surrendering. Swiftly, K'Lang pulled out his own Lancer and started to shoot.

Stefen was taken by surprise and the first couple of shots hit him, causing him to drop the rifles. Reaching for his Lancer, he soon found him self "face to face" with K'Lang in a Lancer fight.

The Omega agents started to attack the Section 31 agents and the rescued prisoners, everyone was fighting. This was suppose to have been a simple rescue mission, but it had turn into a full-blown battle. Stefen was forced back into a room, where he found himself on his back. He jumped up to see K'Lang run off, dragging Jessica by the arm.

Stefen followed and broke into a run, until he found himself in the main shuttle bay. Jessica was laid on the floor, semiconscious. K'Lang had run onto one of the shuttles. Stefen attempted to stop him, but the shuttle bay forcefield had been activated, separating Stefen from the outer bay. Stefen could do nothing but watch as the doors opened and he saw K'Lang getting away. Stefen rushed over to tend to his wife and felt a pulse, she was still alive. He picked her limp body up and walked back towards the group that he has coming to rescue.
