Reunion (Part Two of Two)

As Rahel finished talking to the Captain, she looked around at the almost empty Bridge. The one other officers on the Bridge were a junior Engineer and an Operations officer. Turning to the Operations officer, she ordered him to make contract with Lieutenant Commander J'Ross. Moments later, the voice of the Caitian came over the comm channel.

"Commander, I have just spoken with Captain Taybar and she's now in orbit above us." Rahel said. "I've apprised her of the situation and she wants the Saucer section back in orbit as soon as the survey teams are back."

[The survey teams will be with you in about an hour.] J'Ross reported. [I'm going to remain here and take a look at the data on the obelisk Colonel Phanan examined.]

"Commander, the Captain informed me that they believe that the rogue Jem'Hadar vessel is heading back here." Rahel stated. "They will be in orbit in about a day, I think we should start to think about evacuating the site and have everyone back on the Leviathan."

[We still have another day.] J'Ross commented. [I'd like to try and find any answers here.]

"Understood." Rahel stated. "One last request. The Captain has asked to speak to Goran'Agar and have him bring the best ten pilots he has in his group."

[Understood, I'll go and speak with him now.] J'Ross confirmed. [He should be back with the survey team. I'll speak to you later.]

The comm link closed and Rahel took a deep sigh.

"Open a channel, shipwide." Rahel ordered. "All hands, we will be lifting off in one hour from now. Please take you assigned stations and prepare for Blue alert."

The Bridge suddenly started to come back to life as various Starfleet uniformed officers appeared from the two turbolifts. Within ten minutes, the Bridge was fully manned once more and they were ready to lift-off.

"What' the status of the survey teams ?" Rahel enquired.

"We should be able to start transporting them back within ten minutes." The Operations officer announced from his station.

"Contact the Dominion base and have them prepare the prisoners for transport." Rahel ordered. "Security, prepare cargo bay three for the prisoners, as soon as we're in orbit, we'll be transferring them to the main Brig."

Fifty minutes later, all the survey teams were back onboard and Goran'Agar had come back with fifteen of his Jem'Hadar officers. Once they were airborne, they'd be heading towards the Dominion base to pick up the prisoners and their guards, before heading into orbit and re-connection with the Engineering section of the Leviathan.

"Blue alert." Rahel ordered. "Helm, take us up. Set a course for the Dominion base and prepare to transport the prisoners."

Within five minutes, security confirmed that all the prisoners were now onboard and the guards had all been transported back onboard.

"Helm, take us up." Rahel ordered.

Everyone on the Bridge watched as they slowly rose higher and higher into space, watching the sky slowly dim and fade into black, before they finally re-entered space once more.

"Helm, prepare to make orbit." Rahel ordered. "Open a channel to the Captain."

"Channel open." The Operations officer announced.

"Captain, we're in orbit are ready for docking." Rahel stated.

[Good to see you again.] The Captain replied. [Switch your helm to automatic and we'll do the rest from here. Docking should be complete in five minutes….]

Rahel sensed that the Captain wanted to say something else.

"Was there something else ?" She asked.

[As soon as we dock, I'd like you to meet Commander Rashad in Sickbay.] The Captain stated.

"Is the Commander ill ?" Rahel enquired.

[In a manner of speaking yes.] The Captain replied. [I'll have Private Dyson meet you there and you can examine the results of the test she carried out with the EMH.]

"I'll be ready Captain, Leviathan out." Rahel stated. "Helm, set controls to automatic."

Slowly the Engineering section of the Leviathan moved ever closer to the Saucer section and both Bridge crew watched as the two parts of the vessel came back together. Eventually there was a small jolt on the Saucer section as the Engineering section reconnected.

"All stations show green for docking." The Operations officer announced.

"Secure all docking clamps and initial re-connection sequence." Rahel ordered. "Stand down from Blue alert."

Five minutes later, Captain Taybar arrived on the main Bridge, along with Lieutenant McQueen and Lieutenant Moss, who took up the primary Security and Intel stations on the Bridge.

Rahel rose from the Command chair and after speaking briefly with the Captain, headed past the Security station.

"It's good to see you Rahel." Logan remarked quietly as she passed.

"I've missed you." Rahel replied, pausing in front of Logan. She really wanted to kiss him, but she knew that wouldn't be appropriate for the Bridge. "I'll speak to you later."

She continued towards the turbolift and stated. "Sickbay."

With a head full of passion for Logan, she stepped into Sickbay and met with Private Dyson and Commander Rashad. Even though the Commander looked perfectly fit and health, instinctively Rahel knew that something was wrong.
