Debt and Repayment

The two sections of the Leviathan had been re-joined for just over an hour and Aki for one was glad that she had all her crew back together. Or at least the majority of it, there were still several members on the alien planet the crew of the Saucer section had found and others studying the device deep beneath the surface of Bopak III. The most worrying aspect of the 'missing' crew was Lieutenant Commander J'Ross. With Commander Rashad affected by her encounter on Omega base, Aki knew that she needed M'eko by her side as first officer.

The Captain was sat in her office off the Bridge, going over the battle plan that Commander Rashad and Lieutenant McQueen had devised. It was complex and relied on a lot of subterfuge and luck, but if things went their way, Aki was confident that they could pull it off.

The door chimes rang out in the room and Aki announced whoever was outside to enter. As the doors opened, the Jem'Hadar Goran'Agar appeared at the doorway, accompanied by Lieutenant McQueen. Aki nodded to her Security chief and beckoned the Jem'Hadar in to her space.

"So Goran, how are your people holding up ?" Aki enquired.

"We are well Captain, tank you for asking." Goran'Agar replied, taking the seat opposite the Captain. This was very odd for the Jem'Hadar, being treated with civility.

"And I am grateful for all the assistance you and your group have given this crew, both in the capture of the Jem'Hadar base on Bopak III and the construction of the research base on the alien planet." Aki said.

"Captain, I have a request and a question." The Jem'Hadar stated.

"Ask away." Aki said.

"I'd like to take all of my people through the gateway and settle on the other side." Goran started to ask. "Your research base will provide us with enough shelter and a centre from which we can continue to live. We would be protected from our enemies and be able to protect any Starfleet of Federation personnel that come to the planet."

"I was wondering when you were going to get around to asking that question." Aki replied. "Lieutenant Commander J'Ross said you might."

"The planet is beautiful Captain." Goran stated. "Far removed from anything I could have dreamed of when I found the device."

"I agree on one condition." Aki stated.

"Name it and it will be yours." Goran said.

"Not yet." Aki replied. "But you said you had both a request and a question ?"

"I was wondering why you wanted me to bring my best pilots back to the Leviathan."

"All will be revealed soon, both my price for allowing your people to remain on the alien planet and why I have asked for your pilots." Aki said mysteriously. "I have a briefing to go to and I'd like you to be present."

"Then we should go." Goran stated.

With that both leaders rose from their seats and headed for the main briefing room.
