Just a few hours away from when she woke up in sickbay after a supposed “nightmare”, Rashad was sitting at her console inside the Intelligence Office. It took quite a while to convince Doctor Rahel Kahfre to let her go back to work, yet she eventually managed to explain to the good Doctor that there were things that simply could not wait, which needed to be attended to at the Intelligence Office. The Romulan-Bajoran could not believe the data that stared her right in the eye from the console. The ancient Bajoran symbols were indeed the code for the coordinates to which she was to bring Rahel Kahfre barely a month from the day. *Oh Prophets !* Thought the long-time Section 31 operative. *What in arrenhye (“hell”) can I do now ?* So much mental anguish it was that suddenly overcame her. On one hand, she could not betray the good Doctor or the Federation – she owed the Federation her life. On the other hand, she could not allow her body to mutate into that of a fully Romulan. In latter case there would be serious ramifications regarding her continued service within Section 31 and she did not particularly like their so-called “retirement” plan. *Dear Prophets, I do have no choice here after all, do I? Either way, my career if not my life as I know it is going to be over. All because of this horrible terrorist…* She was so grateful that her Human-Vulcan colleague, Stefen Moss was not telepathic. Suddenly her painful reverie was interrupted by the buzzer at the door. Seeing her colleague arise from his station and deactivate the security lockdown she wondered who that might be… …Doctor Rahel Kahfre stood at the door with a worried face… What Rashad did not quite know is that the good Doctor was in fact telepathic... |
