Eliza Dyson

Standing at only five and a half feet, Eliza is smaller than most Marines (Both male and female). However, she is extremely athletic and has good stamina.

Eliza was born in space in 2360 aboard the USS James Cook, a Nebula class science vessel. Her parents both served onboard the Cook, where her father was the CMO and her mother a botanist on the science staff. Eliza spent most of her early years onboard starships.

She left her parents in 2376 to return to Earth and become a civilian doctor. She stayed with some of her mother's relatives in Sydney, Australia and attended the Sydney Medical School. In 2380, both her parents were killed when the Cook was attacked and destroyed by Orion pirates.

In 2384, the call of space became too great and she decided to get back on a starship. She however blamed Starfleet for the death of her parents and instead of joining Starfleet opted to join the Federation Marines instead.

After spending a year at boot camp, she graduated and became a Private in the Marines, specialising in field medicine. Three weeks after she graduated, she was given a commissioned to join 201st Expeditionary Force, 8th Battalion, Foxtrot Company. Foxtrot company was formally the Marine detachment to the USS Leviathan and USS Leviathan-A, which was disbanded after the loss of the USS Leviathan-A.

Major Jon Phanan kept a few of his senior staff, but lost most of his recruits to other areas of the Federation. When the USS Taurus required addition Marine support, Captain Taybar requested that Foxtrot company be assigned to help. The Major brought together some thirty Marines, both old Marines and some new recruits (Including Eliza) and travelled to assist the USS Taurus.

When the USS Taurus was deemed to be in need of a major re-fit after the battle, the crew of the Taurus were transferred to the USS Leviathan-B along with what remained of the USS Leviathan-A's crew and Foxtrot company.

Whilst appearing sometime 'distant', she is infact a very friendly person. A dedicated medic, she also has a good understanding of plant life gained from her mother and is familiar with many plants that have healing properties.

Whilst she did not graduate anywhere near the top of her class at the Maine training camp, she is a good if not excellent Marine and her drill sergeant has given her a good recommendation and feels that with time, she will make a solid Marine.

She is very fit and keeps herself in shape through a daily work-out routine. Smaller than most Marines, she is both agile and stealthy.
