Steven Hartmann

Broad shouldered due to a family trait. Not fat, but referred to as a "large" man.

Steve has always had an interest in Starfleet. As a first-grader, he was intrigued by a parent brought in on career day. The parent was dressed in a pressed, good looking uniform with red on his shirt. On his black collar were three gold insignias and he had a triangular pin on his chest. At the time that was all Steve saw, but as he listened to his stories of what he did for a living, Steve got excited.

In sixth grade, he started to build model starships. By eighth, he had a room full of different ones and was starting to be interested in how things work.

By High School, Steve found his way into his Police Department's Cadet program. They educated teens about modern Police Work and what it involved. They also got leadership and weapon training on the service phase weapons the officers used. This would be invaluable at Starfleet Academy.

After graduating High School, Steve applied to the Academy three years running, before he finally got an interview. Someone must have liked what they heard, because he was accepted for the next semester.

Throughout the academy, Steve was trained in weapons technology and upkeep. He also took command courses and even got to do the Kobayashi Maru scenario. This one did not feature the classic Klingon attack, but had a Romulan attack.

After graduating, his career finally started. He was assigned to Utopia Planitia as a weapons technician before he finally got out into space. After spending just over a year at Utopia Planitia, Steven was assigned to the USS Ton'al Granda, a Sabre class scout vessel as an armoury officer. He was promoted in 2376 to the rank of Lieutenant (Junior Grade) and given the position of chief armoury officer.

In 2379, he was promoted to Full Lieutenant for his exemplary performance on the USS Ton'al Granda and transferred to the USS Carl Vincent, an Akira cruiser. Taking up his new position as Assistant Chief Tactical Officer and Armoury Chief, Steven was promoted to Chief Tactical officer in 2381 and became the second officer onboard the Carl Vincent in 2383. He enjoyed the opportunity to be in command and in 2384, he left the Carl Vincent and returned to Earth to take on the Advanced Command course at Starfleet.

Graduating in August 2385 and promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander, Steven was soon assigned a new vessel, the USS Leviathan-B where he was to take up the vacant position of first officer.

Quite personable. He'll help any way he can, but has a pretty good sense of right and wrong. He is a strict believer in thee Chain of Command, but realizes that sometimes it just pays to have fun.

Can field strip a phaser rifle and lay the parts out in order on the table for inspection in 14 seconds flat.
