Stelv N'akae

Although Andorians have nearly as long a lifespan as Vulcans, Stelv is going prematurely bald. He has rather a pronounced "friar tuck" spot that is being encroached upon by his rapidly retreating hairline.

Stelv was born some thirty-six years ago on Andor. His parents were both agronomists in an outlying province, but thanks to modern technology Stelv had all the same educational opportunities that all Andorian children receive.

It turned out that he had an aptitude for non-Euclidean mathematics and had soon caught the attention of the Starfleet research department. Seeing a way to work on all of the complicated technologies he'd always been interested in offered to him he could hardly refuse the offer to join Starfleet. He decided to concentrate on the Engineering curriculum, majoring in advanced and theoretical propulsion systems.

Once there he did well in school, less well in socialising. A young human named Oscar Fielding would never leave him alone about finding a date or at least going out and having a good time. Things were not improved by the fact Mister Fielding was Stelv's roommate for all four years. Thankfully after graduation Mister Fielding, as Stelv still insisted on calling him, went off to become a pilot of some sort.

During Stelv's mandatory cadet cruise mission, things went beyond his control. The ship he was on was attacked by Romulans and Stelv shamed himself and his clan by hiding. He could not face capture by someone he thought might harm his mind ! He was let off with a oral reprimand and then sent to Utopia Planitia shipyards development department, which is where he has been for the last fourteen years. Until now. Now he feels, for some unknown reason, that he can redeem himself.

Quiet and hard to get to know at first but reliable and sensible at the core. He is strangely quirky and has a dry sense of humour.
