T'Plek

A typical Vulcan, T'Plek stands very proud and defined, as denotes her station in life. However, having spent so long around emotional aliens, she has found that emotions can sometimes be a great revealer and at times does show her own 'feelings'. She also has a large dark area of skin on her left hand which is the results of an injury during her first assignment as a diplomat.

Born into a diplomatic family on Vulcan, T'Plek has been attending special diplomacy and alien culture classes rather than normal Vulcan schooling. Her family has had a long tradition of being the representatives of Vulcan in many places. It was only because of her mother's strong bonds to tradition that she returned to Vulcan during her pregnancy so her daughter would be born there.

After finishing all her diplomacy courses, she continued onto the Vulcan Science academy where she studied xeno-psychology and alien culture for two years. She then left Vulcan for Earth, where she joined the staff of the Vulcan Embassy, serving as a Diplomatic aide.

After serving for nearly five years, she rose to the position of Diplomat and was given her first, small assignment. This first assignment was almost a complete disaster. She was sent to intervene in a feud between two local races and negotiate a cease-fire between the two hostile nations. Instead there was an assassination attempt by one faction in which T'Plek was wounded by knife in her left hand. The injury required immediate surgery and a skin graft, but because of the limited medical facilities on planet, she has been left with a large 'scar'.

T'Plek learnt from her first assignment and started to look for emotions in others more closely. Her knowledge and further studies have allowed her to continue to work as a Diplomat for both the Federation and Vulcan. However, her need to push herself has always been strong and by 2385, she had risen to the position of Ambassador. She made a request to the Federation Diplomatic council and Starfleet to be assigned to a Deep Range Explorer vessel as a first contact ambassador.

Whilst this request was initially denied T'Plek, six months later she was assigned to the USS Leviathan-B, which required a full-time Diplomatic officer. She came onboard the Leviathan-B during it's return to Earth, before leaving for Deep Space a week alter.

Calm and logical, T'Plek can sometimes show emotions when it's required by situation, but they're always under straight control and usually aren't real. Very hard to make friends, once she consider someone to be such, she will do everything for him
