PLANET SERENITY!
The hew of the planet Serenity filled the viewer of the USS Vengeance as it entered standard orbit. The crew was anxious to say goodbye to their former commanding officer and even more so to begin their new mission into the Delta Quadrant, care of the new Borg type transwarp engine.
The aged commander, a Vulcan through and through, stood up as the ship's new and younger captain arrived.
"Captain the bridge is... yours," Saitek offered.
"Thank you, Captain Saitek. I could only succeed you, I could never replace you," replied the young woman.
Saitek removed himself from the picture and stood inside of the turbo-lift.
"Helm, has our new course been plotted?" the new Captain asked.
"Awaiting your orders to engage, Ma'am," replied the Deltan helmsman.
"Transporter room, inform me once the Captain has arrived on Serenity," the new Captain said as she tapped her comm badge.
[Will do, Captain.]
Saitek materialized in a downtown district called New Ontario. A play off from the Earth country of Canada for which this system was so named. Many aliens passed by as he strolled with luggage in hand towards his new residence. But first he had to stop off at the tourist bureau.
Entering the door of the bureau he was greeted by the receptionist.
"Hello, I am Saitek. I'm looking for the assisted living facility located in New Ontario."
"Are you visiting someone there?" the lady flirted.
"No, I am arranged to live there," he said without malice.
The lady, being sincere in her flirting, could not fathom why such a viral but Vulcanesque man would choose to live in an old folks home.
Scrolling through her PADD, sure enough he was listed to live there and sadly walked him down the two blocks to the beautiful but quaint Victorian Square assisted living facility. At least in was nicer than the brochure to the one on Nordstrom 5.
With luck he would be able to relax and wait out the end.
