Stone flew the runabout around and back over the city towards the residential district. His task was to evacuate a primary school in the north area.
"Message incoming from USS Honington," Hedley announced.
"Open channel," Stone ordered.
"Lieutenant Stone, Captain Werra USS Honington, we're having problems transporting civilians from the surface, there appears to be a lot of interference due to the initial effects of the nova bomb," Captain Werra paused. "We're going to need you to set up a major transport site in the residential district and move all civilians there for transport. Together with the Ronin and the Iwo Jima we can evacuate about 50 per transport."
"Understood, we'll get right on it," Stone replied and closed the channel.
He put the runabout into a steep left turn bringing it to face about.
"This'll have to do, it's the biggest open space in this area," Stone said. "We'll set up the enhancers around the area, we might as well transport them into position."
Marc got up from his seat, walked to the rear section of the command module. He placed one transport enhancer with tripod legs extended onto each of the two transport pads and called out, "ready."
"Coordinates set, it's all yours, Marc."
Marc tapped the transport command console and the pads lit up and the metallic enhancers dematerialized. He placed the next two on and did the same, and then the final two.
"Six enhancers in position, boss."
"OK, computer, public address system online," Stone commanded the computer.
"Online," the soft female voice replied.
"All persons, this is Starfleet Search and Rescue, this is not a drill, please begin gathering in Serenity Square, Residential sector for immediate evacuation," he paused for a second. "Computer repeat message continual loop, 10 seconds intervals."
The computer bleeped to acknowledge and Stone began to fly the runabout slowly over the residential area. Below them Stone could see people walking towards the square, some of them almost herded by Starfleet personnel and Marines.
