Upon their recovery from Irimi, the shipwrecked crew returned to Starbase 901 exhausted.
Saitek had finally told Tyvek that he was dying of Bendii Syndrome, a truth he wished wasn't so. And now his son had yet to speak to him at all. Saitek and Janice decided to use the base hospital in order for Saitek to receive his missed dosage of the medication used to treat the telepathic outbursts.
Meanwhile, Tyvek had chosen to return to work at his post as the station's science officer. Tyvek had also chosen to follow Shara's advice and contact Commodore Rick Hunter, the Serenity Outpost Commandant.
[How can I help you, Ensign?] asked Hunter via the comm-link.
"Admiral, I was hoping to inquire if there is a need for a Science Officer down on Serenity Outpost?" asked Tyvek.
[Are you asking for a transfer, Ensign? Why the change of venue?] asked Hunter.
"Sir, in order to care for my father, Saitek. He is a new citizen to Serenity. My father Saitek is a retired Starfleet starship Captain. He has been diagnosed with Bendii Syndrome and will require assistance," replied Tyvek.
[I will let you now my decision, Ensign. Hunter out.]
All Tyvek could do was to wait and see if he would receive the transfer.
