Nico was at his desk going over the rescue gear maintenance records and procedures. Ever since arriving at Serenity, Nico had jumped in with both feet, reviewing team procedures and past mission reports, trying to get a handle on what was involved with this posting. The types of jobs that the team had gotten, while routine, certainly was a different experience than what Nico had with SAR. Of course, Nico thought, all my SAR experience has either been in a combat zone or shortly after a combat occurred. More often than not, the job changed from SAR to recovery with regular consistency.
Looking over the rescue gear manifest, Nico wished that he could get his hands on a Marine SAR package. ALieutenanthough the package might be over-equipped for this kind of posting, it might be useful to have around. I wonder if I can bribe the local Quartermaster with the Corps detachment to get one, he mused, wondering how the Lieutenant would react if he showed up with a SFMC SAR package.
As if on cue, Nico heard the Lieutenant's voice over the station's comm system. "Senior SAR staff to briefing room." Rousing himself and closing the records he called up, Dom headed over to the briefing room. Judging from the mission reports, this shouldn't be a SAR callout, he thought as he headed over to the briefing room. Entering and walking up to the table, Nico saw the Lieutenant waiting.
"Good day, sir. I'm assuming that I'm considered senior staff due to being top kick." Standing behind a chair, Dom waited for the Lieutenant's response before sitting down.
