A Breen ship had set up patrol in and around the back door of the Briar Patch. Thinking that they had all but destroyed the freighter, they were not aware that they hadn't.
"Captain, we will surely be detected," the female Klingon helmsman concluded.
"Is that so, Goros? I think they are unable to detect us. Otherwise they would have finished us off. I am expecting the arrival of Serenity Personnel soon but until then we must continue to monitor them," replied Saitek.
"They are running with shields down," Goros replied.
"We need not engage them at this time. The damage to our hull must be addressed. For the moment let the Ferengi have the comm," replied Saitek.
"Thank you but this is my ship," replied the Ferengi.
And so exited Saitek back down to the engine room.
Lieutenant Tyvek had been the one to warn the Commodore of the Breen and now had continued his science duties at the base. Tyvek also made the time to monitor the subspace radio traffic in and out of the Patch.
"Gunnery Sergeant, have you deciphered the encrypted message received this morning?" asked Tyvek.
"Sir yes sir. Encryption recognizes a Starfleet Code, Saitek Gamma Hydra Four."
The code was Saitek's and included his coordinates near the Patch. Tyvek wondered how he had gotten there and even more so, how he had achieved the command of the freighter.
"Gunnery Sergeant, please forward this to Commodore Hunter," ordered the Lieutenant.
