"You know, I thought you would have had your own ship by now. I guess Starfleet figures that you might make too good of a name for yourself!" said a familiar voice.
Hall set down her PADD and coffee to turn around. "Well I'll be damned!"
Krestanovich had her typical smile across her face. It was rare to see her without it. She was the total opposite of Hall. That smile was her trademark seeing as how Aegis rarely wore one. She looked as good as always. Her hair was longer than she remembered it, to suit her nonetheless.
"I never thought that I would see you so soon. What are you doing here? How did you get here?" Hall asked with a look of puzzle written across her face.
Her uniform highlighted her figure as Krestanovich walked around the table to occupy the seat opposite of Hall. Her blue eyes radiated with the reflection of the light as she looked upon Hall happy to see her former crewmate in arms. Even seated it was obvious that Krestanovich was much smaller than Hall. Shan was tall for a woman and even outweighed Jamie by about 20 or so pounds. Both women were slim for their sizes.
"Like you I received a transfer. Arrived today. It's better than sitting in an office," she said, "plus when I heard that they transferred you here I couldn't pass it up," explained Krestanovich, the words rolling off her Austrian accent.
"Well," started Hall with a slight smile, "there's a lot going on here. We've got a situation with some un-invited guests it appears. Commodore Hunter has employed me as a solution to a diplomatic crisis while at the same time investigating the President's attackers."
Krestanovich nodded quickly rubbing out her smile. "Yes, I've heard," Jamie exclaimed. "It just so happens that I've been assigned as tactical officer aboard Serenity Base and have been ordered to assist you!"
Hall liked that idea. She was glad that she would be getting help from someone with whom she had served. "Great," she said taking another sip of her coffee.
"Do you have any ideas as to who might be behind this?" Krestanovich asked leaning forward folding her arms upon the table.
Hall put her cup gently on the table nodding. "The Commodore seems to the think that it may be the Breen as they have been spotted in this sector recently. He also mentioned Romulans, but it would be highly unlikely."
Krestanovich smiled. "It's good to be working with you again, Shan!"
"Likewise," smiled Hall. Very few people called her Shan. Only some of her closest friends, Jamie was one of them. Everyone else who addressed her by name called her Aegis-Hall. Hyphenated because it just came together as one word when spoken.
Krestanovich leaned back in her chair, her trademark smile upon her face. "What are your plans?" she asked.
"I want to analyze the weapon that was used to shoot down the Presidents' craft even further, possibly determining a launch point on the planets' surface should it have even been fired from there," stated Hall. "I'm sure a plan has already been put into action to secure the President!"
