"Sir, should we inform the runabout that we are here to lend assistance?" Commander John Daza asked the Captain who was intently looking at the view screen.
"No. If we do that we will alert the Breen that we are here." Kiok looked at the Commander. "And we don't know what the situation is. For all we know they may have hostages on the Breen ship."
"What I don't understand is why would Starfleet send a small runabout to confront a Breen ship. Don't they have a Nebula Class starship here in the Serenity system?" He walked over to the captain's chair in the middle of the bridge and stood next to it. John glanced at the unmoving ships on the view screen.
"Yes there is a Nebula Class ship that comes here from time to time, but is always going from one sector to another. Maybe it isn't in this sector at the moment." Kiok signaled for the Romulan security officer to come closer.
"Yes sir," the Romulan almost whispered.
"Mr. Riok, prepare the Santander scout for take off. I want it fully manned," Kiok ordered the young Romulan.
"What hour, sir?" the Romulan responded.
"Now, Mister." Kiok pointed toward the turbolift.
"Yes sir," the Romulan heads for the turbolift as quickly and silently as possible, "right away." The Romulan enters the turbolift and disappears.
"Lieutenant Green, target the Breen ship but do it manually," he looks at his tactical officer sitting on the tactical station to the right, "we don't want them to detect a target lock."
"Yes sir." He began to press buttons. "Locked on target." Lieutenant Green continued making calculations every few seconds.
"We have to signal the runabout that we are here to assist, sir," John told the captain. Kiok looked at him.
"When the runabout makes its move and they are attacked by the Breen ship we will assist the runabout." He pointed at the view screen."The Breen will never now what hit them."
"What if they have hostages?" John stood there looking at the view screen.
"That's what the Santander is for. I intend to board the Breen ship and rescue anything that isn't Breen."
