Saitek and Dr. Zahn had reexamined all of the medical evidence and had sent it via sub-space back to earth in order for Star Fleet to reconsider the situation. That situation, being that Saitek had been mis-diagnosed of Bendii Syndrome, and subsequently relieved from command as a result. Now with this new information presented, 9th Fleet Commander Smith would have to consider if sabotage was at cause.
"Captain, the message has been sent." Zahn reported.
"Thank you. I must now report to Captain Nala and inform her of my intentions." replied Saitek.
As he exited the room suddenly the ship's light changed to the battle alert red.
[RED ALERT!] clanged the comm.
Saitek exited the lift on the bridge to find the crew manning every post.
"Captain, I mean Saitek... you may wish to return to your room. We are on our way to assist an attacked starship." replied Nala.
"Which ship?" asked Saitek
"The Breen have attacked the USS Benjamin Franklin." replied Nala.
