Surprisingly Tyvek had managed to make it up to the bridge and manned the console of the science station, unobserved by the commander. With a little tweaking to the comm-badge, he and Gunney were able to talk to one another.
"Gunney what's your status?" asked the Vulcan.
[My makeup's coming off but other than that good I guess. Sir did you know that they use a quantum singularity in their warp drive configuration?] replied Gunney.
"Yes, we need to figure a way to take it offline. Any suggestions?"
[You're the Vulcan sir. Sorry, actually I think I can throw a monkey wrench into the feed, however the transporters will be off line when I do.]
Tyvek stopped talking when an officer of the female persuasion joined him at his station. In her native Romulan tongue, she asked him his current assignment.
Some what taken back at her rash tone he did not speak. He did not speak due to the lapse in time it took for the universal translator earpiece he wore to decipher her words.
"The Commander has asked that a thorough search of the amphibian bog be analyzed." Tyvek replied in slangish Romulan annunciation.
"You are new to this ship Sub-Commander? I don't believe we've been properly introduced." replied the woman.
"I am Tyvek.... Sub-commander Tyvek." he lied.
"Good work Sub-Commander. I am Sub-Commander Rhea the Algeron's first officer. Perhaps we shall dine together later, in my quarters." suggested the woman. As she did so she then noticed another emblem above his rank insignia she had not seen before, nor had he. The emblem of the infamous Tal Shiar.
