Time was a most remarkable thing. To use the axiom of nothing unreal existing, it was most definitely real. For everything there is a time, it is said. A time to war, and a time for peace. A time to run and a time to stop running. A time to live and a time to.... die.
Was this that time? Saitek considered.
The storm had knocked out the shuttles main power and soon the life support would run out. With the power out the life support would only last for eighteen more hours.
The storm raged outside, or so he could tell out side the main window.
He could also see the eye of the storm, seemingly not too many kilometers away.
The shuttle was powerless as long as it was inside of the soupy radiation storm. In theory, if he were able to move the craft inside of the storms eye it might be possible to restart the main power.
But how?
Considering his predicament, he didn't have a lot of options.
With minimal lighting, Saitek went to the back of the shuttle and pushed the EMERGENCY HATCH button. With main power off the door opened, bypassing the safety protocol.
The rush of air was replaced with a vacuum space thrusting the craft into the void of the eye. Being Vulcan he was able to use sub-human power to close the hatch before collapsing onto the floor.
As he passed out the main power returned inside of the craft, miraculously.
