Tyvek, Gunney, Smith and Sub-Commander Rhea followed the native toad back to the Bog. As they approached, tyvek immediately noticed that the natives had taken prisoners.
"What will they do to them?" Tyvek asked.
"They will not leave this world... alive." croaked the Amphibian.
"What does that mean?" asked Gunney.
"They are invaders and must be punished. You planned to destroy the ship above." the toad added.
Tyvek watched as the true Tal Shiar officer was escorted to the podium beside of the Bog.
"We are greatful for your help Tadpole. Please do not risk our friendship."
The Warbird positioned itself in high orbit awaiting the Commanders order to fire.
"Commander I have all of our officers accounted for. The transporter has a lock on them," the Helmsman reported.
"Any sign of the Federation scout ship?"
"No Commander."
The Commander studied the viewer.
" Activate the transporter, wide beam."
Tyvek watched as all of the Romulans disappeared in a transporter beam. He then turned to Gunney.
"Gunney we have to get to the runabout."
"We have to find where they parked it. Smith use your tricorder to track the signal." Gunney ordered.
"I can't , I sort of lost it." Smith replied.
Gunney scowled as he looked down at the ground.
"Will you ask your people to take me to my ship?" Tyvek asked the toad.
"Yes Tadpole. If you call me by my name."
"What is your name?" Tyvek asked.
"IiiiikkkEeeee"
"Will you help me Icky?" Tyvek pleaded.
Soon they were aboard the runabout and preparing to take off. Due to the size of Icky he stayed behind but Rhea went along. Not by her choice of course, but non-the -less there.
"Tyvek this craft is no match for a class- D class Warbird. We'll be killed." Rhea stated.
"This is all we have. However, you can help us. What is the prefix code to the Algerons shields."
"I can't betray my Commander."
"You betrayed him the moment we beamed down from the ship. They labeled you a traitor, which means we are your only hope." Tyvek replied.
Rhea knew he was correct. The sad part was that if she was now considered a traitor to the Empire so was her family. And that would cost them their lives.
"I will help you if you help me." she replied.
"How?"
"Help me retain my honor."
"I will try." Tyvek promised.
The runabout had taken off and now targeted the Warbird.
"This will only work if they haven't changed the codes." Rhea commented.
"The codes please." asked Gunney.
The milliseconds of time needed to deliver the codes allowed the Warbird to take aim. Disruptor fire landed on the runabouts hull.
"Shields down to seventy percent." Smith reported.
"Send the codes." commanded Tyvek.
"They're down." shouted Gunney.
"FIRE!"
The runabout phaser sliced into the engineering section like a hot knife on butter resulting in the Warbird exploding.
"Good shooting Smith." Gunney shouted.
"Nooo!" Rhea cried.
"Rhea it was an accident. There was too much damage done to the warp drive." replied Tyvek.
"Sir do you wish to return to the planet?" asked Smith.
"Yes."
Tyvek returned to meet with the leaders of the planet. They were not too pleased to have another alien visitor among them, but when Icky told them the whole story their attitudes changed. With a verbal treaty in hand Tyvek officially named the planet AMPHIBIA and placed its coordinates into the ships computer.
With the mission complete it was now time to go home.
Also joining them was Sub-Commander Rhea. Tyvek had discovered a way to save her honor by returning her to Star base 901 as a lone Romulan survivor found on the alien planet.
