"Full stop." Kiok looked out the view screen at three war ships, two Valdore's and a War bird, they had been in close pursuit after a few skirmishes with the SS Colombia . The Enemy ships stopped outside the border of Federation space. "They won't dare follow us in here."
"I think we should not be inside Federation space at this moment sir." The Commander said.
"And why is that?" Kiok turned his head to see the commander who was standing next to the science station.
"We are in Federation space and if those Romulans decide to cross to look for us the federation will be involved in this war." John leaned against a bulkhead and crossed his arms. There was no evidence his right arm had been broken a few days before.
"They won't fire on Federation Ships. Knowing Romulans, they will say they made a course error if a superior force shows up and turn tail and run." Kiok taps the side of his chair as he looks out at the view screen at the three stopped ships.
"Sir," The Communications officer turns, "the Romulans are communicating with another Romulan ship inside the Briar Patch."
"Can you decipher what they are saying?" Commander John quickly asked as he walked over to stand next to the Female officer. Kiok patiently looked on.
"Not everything," She presses some buttons, "Something about a habitable planet in there."
"I see." Kiok said as he glanced at the enemy.
"Sir," Ensign Mike turned from the helm station, "The Warbird and one Valdore are leaving the area. The other Valdore is entering the Briar Patch."
"Where do you think the Warbird and the Valdore are headed?" John asked Kiok.
"Probably where we last fought with them, near Breen territory." Kiok watched as the other Valdore disappeared into the Patch.
"I wonder why they were there?" John inquired again.
"Probably dealing with the Breen like always."
"Yea they probably were."
"Lt. Elisa contact Starfleet in the Serenity Colony," he pointed at the young woman, "inform them that Romulan ships have violated their treaty with Starfleet and have crossed into Federation space, also that there is some sort of habitable planet in the Briar patch."
"Yes sir right away." She went to the task she was ordered to do.
"Should we follow our dear friends sir? John said as he walked over to Kiok and stood next to the chair.
"Of course," his green eyes seemed to shine, "they may need assistance. Their engines may malfunction, or they may loose structural integrity."
"Ah yes," John smiled, "probably caused by phaser and disruptor fire. Follow that bird Ensign Mike let's go hunting."
"Do it in Stealth Mode Ensign." Kiok ordered.
"Yes sir. Going into the patch." Ensign Mike goes into the patch in pursuit of his prey. The ship disappears from sensors, as it seems to vanish from space.
