Breaking News - Dr. Kurt Kenuba was assassinated outside the research facility where he worked this morning at 10:30 hours. Because of the explosion that followed at his residence, killing his wife and child, they believe it was the work of both the Dark Shadow and the Black Tiger. Though it's not believed they were working together, it is believed they were both there to take on the same assassination; one being more thorough than the other. The experts refuse to give more details, but more are sure to surface.
Jaya landed back on Serenity with a hollow feeling in her chest. She vividly remembered where Tyran and her had left off. In the middle of an argument in which he had left. All because she couldn't tell him what he wanted to know.
Because she couldn't tell him the whole truth about herself, she couldn't blame him. Not really. But it broke her heart.
She grabbed her bag and headed home. The house was empty and dark. There were no messages on her comm. With a heavy sigh, she went to her bedroom, and dropped the bag on the floor before falling onto her bed, face down.
Her life hadn't been this much of a burden in 6 years... to her; it felt almost as if she were at the beginning of her pain all over again. Only this time, her work gave her no comfort; only more problems. Slowly, she buried her head in the pillows. Maybe she'd just, she thought. She'd deal with reality in the morning.
Tyran worked at the bar more hours than usual, and his mood was angry. He was short tempered. He yelled at everyone for no reason, and Danayal could only hope Tyran would soon get out of his ten Celsius under the freezing point mood.
Tyran closed the bar down, and went to the small apartment behind his bar. He fell down on his bed after checking his messages, and was soon sleeping. He had to admit missed her.
Morning filtered into her room from the French doors. As the sunlight crept across her face, her eyes slowly opened. Images from her dreams were still strongly with her and none of them pleasant. She sighed and sat up, running a hand through her hair, as she stared out the windows.
Slowly, she got out of bed and made herself some herbal tea. She then took it into the backyard to sit on her porch swing. As she drank, she gazed at the fence almost hoping Tyran would be there. But he wasn't. After that, she dressed and worked out in her training room for two hours, punching and kicking the bag for another 30 minutes. By the time she was done, she was exhausted, but didn't feel much better.
She went to the low table in the same room and lit the incense and the candles. She then took a seat on the mat and stared into the flames trying to meditate. Taking several deep breaths and letting them out slowly. After several minutes, she knew it was worthless to try. It wasn't working. Nothing was. She couldn't stop the thoughts of losing Tyran from entering her mind. She knew they wouldn't stop either. Not until she settled things one way or another.
Reluctantly, she got up, blowing out the candles and going to her comm.
"Hi Tyran, I'm back. Just wanted you to know. I did miss you. If you want me, you know where I am."
Feeling there was nothing else she could do, she peeled off her clothes and took a shower.
Tyran saw the message and frowned. No, he didn't want her back. He had to be strong.
The communiqué was returned to her screen with the message: Receiver unknown.
As she got out of the shower, she checked the comm. She noted the returned message. But before she could think about it, her personal communicator went off. She sighed and grabbed it.
"Yes... But I just got back... I need some time to catch my breath." She sighed. "All right, I'll be there in a few hours."
As she closed the connection, she rolled her head around her shoulders. There was no rest for the wicked as she well knew. Quickly she changed her clothes once again, repacked her bag, checked the weapons and made sure she had everything she needed. She looked at the comm once more with regret in her eyes. But pushing the thoughts away, she left the house again, locking the door behind her.
Tyran opened the bar not knowing she was walking to the spaceport. He was early today and he had to admit that he missed her. Could this be...? he sighed.
Jaya reached her shuttle once again, getting it prepped. Though she knew it probably wouldn't go through, she sent Tyran another message, telling him she was leaving again. She didn't give any details and she certainly didn't want to tell him she had a bad feeling. She didn't know what it was, but something was lurking before her in the near future, and her intuition was right more times than it was wrong.
"Bye, love," she said softly as she looked out across the Space Port toward the direction of the bar wondering if she would see it or him again.
Tyran read the message, and sighed. He loved her, he knew that now. He sent a message back.
[I'm waiting for the truth.] It said.
Just as her shuttle hit space she got his message and sighed. The truth... what was the truth anymore, she thought, as she took off toward Timinarus III.
