After some digging, Shara discovered the name of the other woman Jayme had left with, and it turned out to be someone Shara knew quite well - Kama Dayrne. Immediately, she tried to pull up every memory she could from her mind that contained Kama and possibly anyone else she had mentioned as a friend.
Shara had met Kama on Starbase 901 and had hit it off well, even though Kama was in the Marines and Shara was in Starfleet. Many times they had grabbed lunch together when they could . . . But the only thing Shara could remember clearly was that she had hung out with a Klingon from Security and that he had also been transferred down to Serenity
Immediately, Shara went to her console.
"Computer, find a Starfleet officer on Serenity in Security whose a Klingon," she replied.
[Searching. Found.]
Three names popped up and one stood out. Ensign Skaren. Shara knew that was him.
"Open a channel," she said.
There was no answer on that channel, only a reply message, saying. "Skaren has a day off. In case of emergency you can be patched through to his colleague, T'Learn..."
Shara immediately called their office.
"This is Lt. Shara Mikori from Serenity City, and I need to get in touch with Ensign Skaren immediately," she said as she reached the Vulcan female.
"He is in his quarters. I will patch you through his personal comm system," was the curt reply.
Skaren was sound asleep. He'd discovered a Klingon bar the night before, and had partied quite hard.
"Come on . . . answer . . ." Shara said under her breath.
"Who has the nerve to wake me?" Was the growl she got.
"Lt. Shara Mikori, Ensign," she replied curtly.
"What do you want?" It didn't sound very friendly, and Skaren had not decided to wake up totally for this Lieutenant, he didn't know.
"I'm a friend of Kama's," she replied. "Apparently she's gone missing with Major Jayme Alcon."
"Kama? Kama Dayrne?" He sat up now and put the view screen on so she could see his face this time, a sleepy face that showed he'd been drinking.
Shara raised an eyebrow for a moment, but then nodded. "Yes, Kama Dayrne."
"They are missing, huh? Kama came here a few days ago, asking me for a map of the wild territory around this place, so she could go camping in the wilderness. I mapped out a large part for her."
"Do you have a copy of that map?" she asked. "I need the coordinates of where they might be. This is a bit of an emergency."
"I do not have a copy, except here." He tapped his forehead.
Shara sighed. "Can you reproduce the map and send it to me?"
"I think I better come myself. I offer myself as a guide. Where are you?"
"I'm in Serenity City. I have two people ready to accompany me. It's vital we get to Jayme and Kama as quickly as possible."
"We do have a transporter. I'll be with you in 15 minutes." He closed the signal and got dressed in his uniform, grabbed his backpack and his weapons and used the emergency transporter. He groaned inwardly since he had one hell of a headache!
Shara was there to meet him. "Welcome to Serenity City," she replied. "Here, I thought you might be able to use this." She handed him two sober pills and a pain reliever.
"Thanks, I did not count on work today. I found a Klingon club..." He swallowed the pills with some water. "Why do you want to find Kama, Lieutenant?"
"It's not Kama I'm really after. It's Major Jayme Fletcher . . . It's a medical emergency."
"No offence, but Kama did not mention taking a Major to that campsite I showed her."
"She wouldn't have . . . Jayme wanted it that way, but we know they're together and if we don't get to them, it could mean death." There was urgency in her voice and a tone that meant as little would be told as possible, but that this was not something taken lightly.
"I will take you there, with a short cut I did not show to Kama. I let her take the scenic route..."
"Okay, good. The others are getting ready now . . . Just let us know where we're going and what to expect."
Skaren nodded and pointed out what they could expect.
