Sara had been at the Operations center and knew that the SAR team under CPO Donovan had found the SGT and Major. As soon as the storm broke again they would be hiking out to the rescue and then taken to Paladin as base only has an infirmary which doesn't have the medical staff to deal with this type of emergencies.
She sat at Jayme's desk and looked at the list of items that the Major had asked her to keep up on while she was away. She'd called and updated Marki on the rescue--she'd been a basket case while waiting for word on Kama. The new pilots were on hold at the station above, as the weather was making problems here at base. Sara was due on duty at the infirmary in thirty minutes. She signed several PO's and authorized the duty schedule for the next week.
Sara worked her twelve hour shift and waited to hear word if the SAR team had evac'd out yet...she moved off to the gym, changed and worked out solo for an hour on her martial arts routine. She was paged and she walked over and made the call. "Ma'am SAR reports the storm has abated and they are going to try and hike out to Rescue 1."
"Thank you." Sara grabbed her towel and headed for the showers.
