The Contract

Jayme and Nathan walked into Dr Grissoms office and took seats around a small table where he was waiting.  "Major, you have passed a Marine Corps physical by Dr. Hali Danar, Colonel and chief medical officer on the Hades."

He looked at Jayme and made eye contact and then to Dr. Fletchers, "I have reviewed the records, I have visited with you both together and each separately.  I do not believe you are currently a threat to yourself or others including your unborn child.  I do believe in light of the nightmares, eating disorder, and tendencies to bury yourself in your work, you do require continued psychometric monitoring and counselling.  You will continue to see Dr. Bentara on Serenity on the schedule which she will set.  You are here by ordered to continue taking all medications and other treatments that are currently being used in conjunction with therapy for at least one year."

He paused and then pushed an old fashioned paper sheet to her.  The door buzzed and in walked a marine lieutenant who took an at ease stance near by.  "This here is a behavioural contract which will be legally binding.  By signing this contract Major you agree to adhere to all treatment conditions--violations will be dealt with by immediate discharge from the MC."

Jayme looked at Nathan and then rubbed her palms on her uniform pants and then signed the contract.  She pushed it away to Grissom who signed it and then had the lieutenant sign as a witness and then finally Nathan signed it as witness # 2. She sat back in her chair and rubbed her right temple and then felt Nates hand take her other one and give it a squeeze.

"I will give you a copy of this, and a copy will be officially entered into your records, and sent to Dr. Bentara.  Any questions?

"No, Sir."  Jayme said making eye contact. 

"Dismissed, and good luck Major."  He said standing and offering his hand. She shook his hand and waited for Nathan to do so before turning and walking out of the office back to their quarters.

"Damn!"  She said crossing the threshold and flopping into a chair.
