Danayal grew up in New York city, in a sleazy neighborhood. His parents
owned a sleazy bar on earth but neglected their son, who soon ended
up with the wrong friends in the wrong places.
At
age 12 Danayal felt deserted and abandoned, his father was often beating
him and drinking around the boy. A friend at school introduced Danayal
with some things to make your life better, as he said it. He started
Danayal on some light drug, light but very addictive. For Danayal the
world seemed better, and he happily paid his so called friends for the
drugs he got. Slowly but surely they introduced him to stronger, even
more addictive and more expensive drugs. He started to steal latinum
strips in the bar, when his father found out, he kicked the boy on the
streets where he roamed around, from drug house to drug house, using,
stealing, burglarizing houses and other facilities. He got his drugs
now straight from Scorpion, who is the leader of a large drugs ring.
In return he had to help with certain operations, under which standing
guard when they were out to kill someone, steal, lie and cheat. He got
caught, but managed to escape. Finally after two years of addiction,
he found a Ferengi ship willing to take him off planet. They dropped
him on Serenity.
He was all alone, scared. but free. But the need for drugs was still
there, and on his third night on the streets, he decided to break into
a bar, called Starlight Inn. He was caught by the owner Tyran, who brought
him to security, with the question if he could have the boy back, he
wanted to take care of a complete stranger. Finally a court order was
filed, Danayal had to earn his freedom back, by getting rid of his addiction,
and learning to work in the bar that belonged to Tyran and he had to
follow education for it in a special facility for young delinquints.
Tyran managed to pull a few strings, so he legally is as much as Danayal's
foster parent.
Right now Danayal earned the trust of Tyran and everyone else, he built
up his life and altough it was not easy, he sees now life is worth living.
