Personality

She appears distant, but not necessarily cold. She can be quite friendly at times and she's strong with a sharp mind. She also has the ability to blend in wherever she goes, much like a chameleon. Being Tanzaran does help. Though she doesn’t trust easily, if you win her trust, you’ll be keeping it for a long time to come. She also has a thing about protecting kids.

Hobbies and Interests

She spends a lot of time reading and practicing Martial Arts. She works out daily, unless she is off on an assignment. She enjoys going out for a drink and holosuites. She also enjoys museums and the park. She loves to watch the children playing. But only a few people really knows what interests her. To everyone else it seems to be everything and nothing.

Background

Jaya was born on Tanzaria as Christianna Lisette Webb with her twin Christian Jarrodin Webb. Her father was a teacher and her mother was in the medical research field though she doesn’t remember much about that time. A few years later Tanzaria was attacked and they were killed. Her and her brother were taken from Tanzaria and raised by another family. Eventually, Christianna found herself as a doctor, with a forte in Medical research.

While doing work for Starfleet, she met David Avante, a Starfleet Intel Officer. They hit it off so well that only six months later, they were married. Their happy union was filled with jobs they loves, vacations together, but their greatest moment was when they had their daughter- Emily Rose Avante. Though Christianna and David kept working, they lightened their schedules to be with their daughter as much as possible.

Then when Emily was six year old, devastation struck. Christianna had come home late from the lab having been on the verge of a breakthrough. But just as she arrived home, and was approaching the walk up to the door, it opened. But just as Emily began running out to her with David smiling behind her, the house was engulfed by a fireball. David was dead almost immediately, but Christianna managed to get to her daughter and hold her. She watched Emily die.

After that, all Christianna wasn’t to do was die. Alexander Conklin, who knew her and knew her husband well knew that he had to do something to help her through this or he would lose her as well. Finally, he offered her a job, a very dangerous job, but one he knew she would take. It was to become Jaya Bourne – the assassin known as the Black Tiger – so that she could take down the Dark Shadow, another notorious assassin. In fact, the assassin that had bombed her house killing her family.

The day her family died was the day Christianna Avante died, and Jaya Bourne was created. She trained hard and became the best at what she does. But she felt empty and dead inside. The house she was set up in was on Parissean III, but after so long, she needed to get away. Encouraged to find a place to relax, she found herself on Serenity. After acquiring a place to stay and doing some exploring, she ended up meeting Tyran, the owner of the Starlight Inn. There was instant chemistry and for the first time in six almost seven years, she began to feel alive again. It’s something she hasn’t felt in a long time, and her contact isn’t sure it’s a good thing.
