Standard Duty Uniforms

The standard Starfleet uniform consists of a black all-in-one jumpsuit or a two-piece with separate pants and tunic, depending on the wearer's preference. The shoulders are gray, and a colored undershirt is worn beneath the tunic denoting the wearer's department. The tunic features a seam down the center which can be opened along its length, allowing the wearer to vary the length of the collar or even to allow the tunic to hang open. Each pants leg has a large, sealable pocket.

Insignia

The Starfleet Insignia is a gold and silver delta surmounted on an elongated rectangular base. It is worn on the left breast just underneath the gray shoulder area. Incorporated within the casing are standard communicator and universal translator circuits.

Rank Designations

Starfleet ranks are designated by gold and black buttons, worn on the right collar of the unform undershirt.

Other Starfleet Branches Duty Uniforms

Starfleet Intelligence Division
Uniforms Members of the Starfleet Intelligence Corps are often 'undercover' and so wear normal civilian clothing. Otherwise and while on shipboard duty, they wear a standard Starfleet uniform with a gray undershirt. Starfleet Marine Corps
Uniforms The Starfleet Marine Corps also uses the standard Starfleet uniform with a green undershirt. During heavy combat missions, they also have an assortment of other dress available. Starfleet Diplomatic Division
Uniforms Members of the Diplomatic Division often wear civilian business attire when dealing with foreign dignitaries, but while serving aboard a starship, they have the option of wearing a standard Starfleet uniform with a lavender undershirt. Starfleet Search & Rescue
Uniforms The Starfleet SAR uniform consists of a black two-piece with separate pants and tunic. The shoulders are black with a navy-blue stripe running across the upper chest and back. A navy-blue undershirt is worn beneath the tunic. Each pants leg has a large, sealable pocket. Starfleet Fighter Pilot Flight Uniforms

Uniforms

Starfleet Fighter Pilot uniforms are very similar in outward appearance to the standard Starfleet uniform. They are a black, one-piece jumpsuit with white shoulders and a department color stripe across the chest. The upper pants legs have two large pockets. Unlike standard Starfleet uniforms however, there is no colored undershirt beneath the jumpsuit.

A small life support system around the waist produces a form-fitting forcefield sheath to protect and sustain the wearer during space or combat missions, making environmental suits obsolete.

Insignia

The Insignia of Starfleet Fighter Pilots is a variation of the standard Starfleet version: a gold oval with a delta-shaped cutout surmounted by an elongated bronze Command Branch star. It is worn on the left breast overlapping the department color stripe. Incorporated within the casing are standard communicator and universal translator circuits.

Rank Designations and Departments

The default Department of all Starfighter pilots is Command, however, it is possible for a pilot to also specialize in other disciplines such as Medic, Science, or Maintenance, hence the inclusion of blue and gold uniforms.

All Starfighter pilots are commissioned officers. Ranks are designated by gold and black buttons, worn on the right breast above the department color stripe.
